shoutouts to RFQ the 🐐; I found ur Substack bc of the link she shared (& have gladly read every piece) and I wanna say inadvertently this is my favourite piece.

how honest and refreshing and real!!! I feel like I’ve written this piece; or that you’ve been inside my brain because it’s scary how much deja vu I got reading this. I totally get writing starting a Substack for you and I’m excited to see you grow! One thing that stuck out in particular and smn I’ve been struggling with is how the contents of ur writing is similar to conversations you’ve had in real life yet you still crave these conversations online. I feel you. I feel like thinking too much about life is all I talk about and yet somehow I rarely have that feeling satiated by those conversations and I always ask myself why. I wonder if you feel similarly/how you’ve navigated that.

Also cruel optimism sounds like a really cool book I just ordered it!!

In terms of other content I’d be interested in? Reading lists of various forms!! Most perspective shifting?? Most fun?? There’s more buzzing around in my head, but this is already a weirdly long comment & im sure I’ll have more to say later haha. thanks for being real!!

hello!!! thanks sm for reading- i'm getting really excited abt the prospect of making connections on substack :))

as for being satiated by conversations in person and online, i guess my answer boils down to why i started my substack. i feel like in addition to all my conversations, i often need to get my thoughts on paper in a cohesive way in order to feel like the issue is settled.

also, thanks so much for the content recommendations!! i will definitely start compiling a reading list asap.
